Where to buy shell urt advanced
Last edited by openwheeler37; The gas concentrate sounds like snake oil to me after reviewing their web site. To raise octane that much one would have to add lead. And Tetra ethyl lead is one of the more toxic substances known to man. I would stick with a known fuel rather than risk my car's fuel system and engine on something like that.
Kind of like Moroso and Vortex back in the 70's. It ate my fuel cell foam. Then I was introduced to LL and have not changed since then. Tetraethyl lead was around since the s to prevent knock and raise the effective octane of gasoline. Below is a link to Britannica. Now I feel as though I have a case of The Stupids I has reading to do Have to say the URT sounded snappy and the plugs looked fantastistic but with a bit lean lambda of 3.
Our motors were fresh from George before test day. It seemed the GSXR liked it! We will try the URT fuel one more track day against Georges recommendation just to see any differences, more for curiosity but post that test, we will run Georges recommendation, no sense in tuning a car to fuel you cant run.
So anyway, thats it for us for now. What fuel would you recommend running? My only choices now are 91 octane pump gas because the local stations no longer carry If not maybe there is track fuel to be had, that's usually safe. I'm running a stocl 08 GSXR with a power commamder. I guess that leads me onto my next question. My compression ratio is Has anyone seen any Supps info for this year?
Since I didn't attend last year, I suspect that I am not "on the list" for early updates Won't do you much good to find a 'super fuel' that you can't run Just found supps All other classes, except those required to use diesel fuel, may choose to run any of the available gasolines, including 93, 98 or octane unleaded and , , or octane leaded. The 93 and octane unleaded fuels contain ethanol.
Fuel will be available from Sunday, September 20, through September 26, from am — pm, and on September 27, from am — pm. Maximal octane gasoline and diesel fuel is available only in 55 gallon drums and must be pre-ordered through Rick Williams, Southern Racing Fuels gojuiceman aol.
No other fuel will be sold in drums. Competitors shall declare which fuel they are using. Send me an email with your car type if you have one , car , contact info and any interesting formation you have to share. According to Google , with a compression ratio of C16 was a great fuel 40 years ago but times have changed. I have been earmarked for a large number of drums so if you want to be on the list to receive, let me know via PM.
The more I can order, the cheaper it will be. Possible cheaper than , but outperforms C16 AND it's unleaded!!! Sweet deal, Thanks. This has been around for a while, Never thought about it for a E85 alternative. Thread Starter. Originally Posted by benzy Ok, heard back from Shell and here is the scoop. The facilities issue has been resolved and production will be starting up again shortly. Because of the fact everyone is on back order, I expect supply to be limited for the next month or so but then the supply issue should resolve itself. I have pre-ordered 10 drums and should be able to get another 5 drums if needed. Originally Posted by ecampbell. Earl how or why maybe are you able to get so much of this?
