Jack is very different than everything else out there. It is unique, its taste will never be like scotches, it isn't meant to taste like a bourbon or a rye whiskey. It has a beautiful kick and after-taste. I love drinking it neat. Some people find it disgusting, but my taste has grown so accustomed to it. Scotches are smooth but Jack tells me something is alive here. I honestly cannot believe some of this that's being written about 'Jack Daniels' being a whiskey and not a 'bourbon'.

Jack Daniels is drank, however the consumer wishes, and enjoyed no matter what. I love JD and have bought lots of special bottles.

I love it if you register the bottles as they send you gifts and recipes - the ribs are really good. For those of you who love it too JD and Dr Pepper is to die for. I am new to JD and so far really joying it. The question I do have is how to store it. I have been told to keep it in the freezer, so I have, but wonder if it will take away from the true taste?

Jack Daniel's is an excellent Tennessee whiskey that tastes very much like a bourbon although it is not one. It is excellent neat, on the rocks or in a "Jack and Coke.

If you are looking for a bourbon I would recommend Maker's Mark. Jack Daniel's Old No7 is a great Tennessee whiskey. And on another note, Jack Daniel's is a 'Sippin' whiskey meant to be drunk in moderation and enjoyed. I agree with Tim!
